A full-time postdoctoral position is available in the Department of Cell Biology & Neuroscience at the University of California, Riverside in the laboratory of Dr. Cho. Our research program is focused oninvestigating the neural mechanisms of emotional learning and memory with special interest in synaptic correlates and neural circuitry of fear and anxiety. Potential projects will incorporate electrophysiological analysis and optogenetic control of behaviorally relevant neural circuits in rodent models of fear conditioning and extinction. We are seeking a creative and motivated electrophysiologist. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in patch-clamp recordings in brain slices. Qualified applicants should have a strong research background in electrophysiology with a record of relevant publications. Experience with stereotaxic surgery and quantitative analysis of behavior is preferred, but not required.
