- When to select an advisor :
Within 2 months of admission. - Application for advisor selection :
Select 3 desired advisors among the medical professors. Fill out the application form with the desired ranking (1, 2, 3) for advisors and submit it to the medical department. - Submit an application for the selection of an advisor :
Submit an application in early March and early September of each school year. A graduate school academic committee will be held with the submitted materials to select the advisor and notify the decision. - Advisor qualification :
The advisor must be a professor with the Department of Medicine, and must be at least an Associate Professor who holds a doctorate degree. - Change of advisor :
A change of advisor is possible with the approval of both the former professor and the new professor within 1 year of admissions (check the school regulations).
Changes due to natural disasters or advisor leaving the program can be made even after 1 year. - Temporary advisor :
Until the appointment of an advisor, the head of the medical department is in charge of the academic guidance of new students as a temporary advisor. - Lab rotation :
In the case of the combined master's and doctoral students, they must rotate between 2-3 laboratories within the department. Students who have not decided on an advisor can use this as an opportunity to experience various laboratories within the department and to search for an advisor. - Selecting a laboratory for laboratory rotation :
Immediately after the announcement of successful applicants (February, August), the application for lab rotation must be submitted to the department according to the instructions. Students will be assigned a laboratory before the start of the semester. - Lab rotation practical period :
Conducted 2 months after admission (March-April, September-October) concurrently with 'Medical Reading,' a required subject for new students.
