A. hair Biology, Hair follicle regeneration
B. Hair follicles are dynamic organ with growth cycle throughout their lifetime with growth-regression-rest period. The length of hair shaft is determined by the duration of the growth period, and alopecia can be considered as one of the aging phenomena.
Our goal is to identify the physiology and functional characteristics of hair follicle stem cells. Through the preservation of restoration of hair follicle stem cells, we target to develop the hair follicle stem cells into competent adult hair follicles.
