Research Field
The goal of our laboratory is to develop next-generation hardware and systems that can be utilized in the biomedical or brain engineering fields. In particular, our lab focuses on research on interfaces, which play the role of 'communication,' the most important element in a hyper-connected world. We are especially interested in interface technologies that connect living organisms (humans, organs, cells, plants, etc.) and non-living objects (machines, computers, clothing, etc.) more naturally and accurately. For example, we are conducting various related research such as enabling communication between the brain and computers, grasping the health status of humans and organs in real-time through clothing and machines, and creating new environments by giving various functionalities to plants. Through these creative approaches, we aim to create a world where humanity can live healthier, happier, and more convenient lives.
