단일클론항체(mAb)는 다양한 질병의 치료제로 사용되어 왔으며, 면역글로불린 G (IgG)는 그 구조적 및 기능적 특성으로 인해 항체 이소타입 중 가장 많이 사용되고 있습니다. 지금까지는 치료용 항체의 목적에 관계없이 주로 야생형 IgG를 사용하였지만, 최근에는 치료용 항체의 역할에 따라 다양한 전략 하에 개량된 항체를 사용해 치료 효능을 극대화하고 있습니다.우리 실험실에서는 여러 질환 (암, 알츠하이머, COVID-19 등)을 표적으로 다양한 신규 항체 치료제를 개발하고 있으며, 항체를 활용한 세포치료제 개발 연구를 수행하고 있습니다.

2) Antibody engineering: 항원의 작용 기작에 따른 치료용 항체의 기능 개량
3) Fc 수용체의 면역학적 역할 규명
