A. 유전체의학실험실유전체학, 유전학, 분자의학, 질환유전자 발굴, 인간 유전체 변이, 암유전체, 차세대염기서열분석, 생물정보학
B. 최근 염기서열 분석 기술의 빠른 발전에 힘입어 유전학 및 유전체학에서 엄청난 변화가 나타나고 있다. 인간 유전체에 존재하는 여러 가지 유형의 변이가 새롭게 발견되고 있으며, 이러한 변이들이 인간의 여러 질병 또는 형질과 어떤 연관성을 가지는가에 대한 연구도 빠르게 진행되고 있다. 본 실험실에서는 1) 아시아인을 대상으로 유럽인 또는 아프리카인과 구별되는 유전체 변이를 발굴하고 그 의미를 찾는 유전체학 연구, 2) 한국인 또는 아시아인의 각종 복합 유전 형질과 관련된 유전체 변이를 발굴하는 유전학 연구, 3) 인체 질병관련 유전체 변이의 분자적 기전을 연구하는 분자의학 연구를 중점적으로 추진하고 있다.
