분자만성감염질병 실험실본 만성감염 연구실에서는 만성감염을 유발하는 감염질환인 B형 간염 바이러스 (HBV), C형 간염바이러스 (HCV),인체 변역결핍바이러스 (HIV) 및 마이코 박테리아의 면역학적 기전을 중심으로 한 병인론의 이해 및 치료법과 백신개발을 주요목표로 하고 있습니다. 또한 만성감염병원균과 숙주와의 관계 기전 연구과정에서 도출된 병원균 유래 물질을 이용하여 신약개발에도 매진하고 있습니다.

1) Development of preventive and therapeutic vaccines for the mycobacterial diseases, tuberculosis and M. abscessus infections using a novel species, M. paragordonae
2) Development of therapeutic cancer vaccine using DNA vaccine
3) Development of therapeutic cancer vaccine using mycobacterial strains
4) Development of peptide derived vaccine adjuvants
5) Elucidation of virulent mechanisms of HBV genotype C infections focusing on the HBV variants
6) Elucidation of virulent mechanisms of M. abscessus infections focusing on Type I interferon signalings
